The autonomous non-profit organization Center for the Study and Preservation of the Amur Tiger Populationn was created by the Russian Geographical Society in 2013 on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
1. Combine the efforts of all stakeholders to preserve and increase the unique population of the Amur tiger;
2. Collect the missing information on the state of the Amur tiger population;
3. To analyze the state of the ecosystems in the area of the Amur tiger and determine the prospects for the habitat of the Amur tiger
4. Develop and provide
implementation of educational and outreach programs for schoolchildren, students and the general population
5. Controlling the Amur tiger population and its habitats in the Far East of Russia
