Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary is a remarkable oasis for all the animals, that were once no-hopers and who would have left this world in agony.
Fiona Oakes cares for around 450 rescued animals including 95 pigs & 67 horses. This is not what Fiona does for a living, she takes no income nor expenses from any donations. Fiona is a retained fire-fighter & elite marathon runner (ex Olympic athelete) and her partner worked for a Bank. Each month Fiona has to find over £10000 to feed all the rescues - please help her
To provide a home for life, care and medical attention when necessary to the 450 animals at the Sanctuary and when the time comes dignity in death. Also to promote a cruelty free lifestyle achieved through appearences in documentaries & Fiona's marathon results which demonstrate that as a Vegan, Fiona is an incredibly strong athlete with trememdous endurance
This sanctuary, which has been running for eighteen years, is run by three people, who believe in, and act upon compassion. When animals are in dire need, they do their utmost to help. They cannot save the whole world, but they have made an enormous difference to those they have rescued both past and present.
If you would like to support Fiona, Martin and Meg's work you can do this by adopting one of the animals. They have been chosen, as true representatives of all who live here. For all have similar histories and very sad stories. So by selecting one or even two, you will in fact be helping over 400 once forsaken creatures, but now living in the place where the unwanted are always welcome.
Vegan Achievement Award, Marathon course records at the Essex County Championshiips & in Finland. Fiona was also the 1st lady in the masses race of the Great North Run in 2010!! No Publicity from the Media - hmm, is that because she's a Vegan I
