The Brigitte Bardot Foundation is an NGO working for the protection of wild and domestic animals in France and throughout the world, in more than 70 countries.
Founded in 1986, the Brigitte Bardot Foundation has been recognized as a public utility since February 21, 1992.
Honorary Member: The Dalai Lama.
In France the Foundation acts directly in the field through help to shelters, rescues of animals, campaigns to sterilize stray animals ...
The Foundation is 70,000 donors and 600 delegates and volunteer investigators. An active network throughout the year throughout France that supports and complements the work of nearly 90 employees, including around 40 seasonal workers, distributed between the Foundation's headquarters and the shelters.
Administered by a board of trustees with three line ministries (Interior, Environment, Agriculture, etc.) as guarantors of the proper allocation of funds, the Foundation also intervenes legally in cases of cruelty or maltreatment in France.
